Sandy designated swim beach on an open reservoir, but no lifeguards, no posted water-depth/slope info, and boat ramps/mooring areas are immediately adjacent within the same park (swimming there is prohibited but boat traffic is nearby). Fine for supervised kids on the beach itself; adults should watch depth and boat activity closely.

No significant hike is required. The swimming area is close to parking and access.

Parking is in the Temple's Lake Park day-use lot, entered through a gatehouse where the $5/vehicle fee is collected. No information found on distance from the lot to the sand beach itself, but Corps day-use parks of this type are typically a short (under 5-minute) walk from lot to shoreline.

Temple's Lake Park itself has two 2-lane boat ramps (one 24hr, one fee-required 6am-9pm) right next to the swim beach, so motorized boat traffic is common in the general area, though not permitted to launch/moor at the beach itself.

Designated swim beaches and picnic shelters at nearby Temple's Lake Park and Westcliff Park are open March 1 through approximately November 1 each year per the seasonal closure schedule; day-use hours run roughly 8:00am-8:30pm in season.

Diving, jumping, or swinging from trees, bridges, or other structures is prohibited; swimming is not allowed at boat launch ramps, mooring points, or public docks; divers must display proper dive flags; pets must be leashed (6 ft max) in park areas; firearms restricted on Corps property; campfires only in provided fire rings/cookers absent a burn ban.
