Hideout North Beach

The North Beach Swim Area is a roped-off, lifeguarded lake beach (per the POA's own site) with an average depth of ~6 ft, weekly water-quality/E. coli testing, and an on-site swim-lesson program and competitive swim team, all of which point to a family-oriented setup. Caveat: access is restricted to Hideout homeowners, their guests, and renters (gated community) so the general public cannot visit regardless of kid-friendliness. One aggregator (sandee.com) FAQ blurb claims the beach is 'not family-friendly' due to lack of restrooms/lifeguards/food, which directly contradicts the official POA page (which confirms lifeguards) and its own facility list (which lists restrooms) -- treated as unreliable and not used.

No significant hike is required. The swimming area is close to parking and access.

Sandee.com (aggregator) describes free community parking near the beach with short walking distance from lot to sand. Entry requires passing the gated community entrance with a resident/guest access card/tag; this was not independently confirmed on the official POA site, which does not publish parking details.

The POA itself rents non-powered watercraft (paddleboats, rowboats, canoes, kayaks) plus chaise lounges, but this is an HOA-run amenity for residents/guests/renters, not a public rental business, and is based at the Main Lodge/North Pool area rather than North Beach itself.

Access is restricted to Hideout homeowners, their guests, and renters via the community's gated entrance (access cards/tags); it is not open to the general public. Non-powered boats (paddleboats, rowboats, canoes, kayaks) are permitted within buoy markers; ice fishing and Triploid Grass Carp harvest are prohibited. Hideout North Beach is on Roaming Woods Lake, a natural lake verified in USGS hydrography data.
