It is a reservoir (Skiatook Lake) shoreline beach rather than a pool, so depth drops off away from shore and nearby boat traffic (marina, boat ramps within a few miles) means normal open-water caution applies.

No significant hike is required. The swimming area is close to parking and access.

Beach sits within the Tall Chief Cove day-use and campground facility, which has developed parking; no day-use parking fee or rate was confirmed in official sources (Recreation.gov and Hipcamp pages list no day-use fee schedule).

Skiatook Lake is a US Army Corps of Engineers reservoir used for boating lakewide (Recreation.gov lists boating as an activity at this facility). Boat ramps and a marina are nearby but not at the swim beach itself: Crosstimbers Marina (1.4 mi), Skiatook Point Boat Ramp (2.9 mi), Blackdog Park Boat Ramp (3.9 mi).
