Arbuckle Swimming Point

No entrance fee is required to access Chickasaw National Recreation Area. Boat launch permits ($4/day or $30/year) apply to motorized vessels on the lake, and camping at Buckhorn runs $20-$50/night, but swimming/shoreline access itself is free.

NPS explicitly flags sudden drop-offs in parts of Lake of the Arbuckles and recommends Coast Guard-approved life jackets for kids and non-swimmers; there are no lifeguards anywhere on the lake, so caregivers need to stay within arm's reach and pick a shallow entry point along the Buckhorn shoreline.
