Backstory
Green Lakes State Park was developed in part by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, and includes an 18-hole golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones (1935). The lakes are notable geologically as meromictic lakes believed to occupy ancient glacial plunge pools.
