Topsfield Beach Association Hood Pond

Access requires an annual Topsfield Beach Association membership (resident and non-resident tiers sold via the association's Zeffy page); single-day public passes are not sold. Members may bring guests for a $5.00 per person per day guest fee, and the association states financial assistance is available for families facing cost barriers.

Sandy beach with a lifeguarded, roped-off swim area on a calm pond; children must pass a deep-water test before being allowed past the lifelines into the deep end, and swim lessons run mid/late June through late August. Unguarded open-water swimming (e.g., from the boat ramp) is at the swimmer's own risk.

No significant hike is required. The swimming area is close to parking and access.

Free on-site parking for members at the club property (address given as 155 Haverhill Road by the club's own About page and 141 Haverhill Rd on its Zeffy nonprofit profile). This is a private membership beach, there is no public day-use lot; guests must arrive accompanied by a paying member.

Pedal boats are described as a club amenity (likely club-owned, available to members) separate from the personal-watercraft boat racks.

Beach season runs daily from mid-June (around Juneteenth) through late August, 10:00am-7:00pm, with certified lifeguards on duty; swim lessons are offered June 23-August 20.

Beach open only during posted hours (10am-7pm daily, in season) when lifeguards are on duty; no swimming beyond the roped lifelines while lifeguards are present; children must pass a deep-water swim test to use the deep end and those under 12 cannot be left unattended; no floats/inflatables in the deep end without a flotation-competent child exception noted in rules; max 10 people on the floating dock; no running/pushing on docks; no glass containers, smoking, vaping, alcohol, or tobacco; no dogs/pets on the property; no fishing or feeding wildlife; all guests must be accompanied by a member and pay the guest fee.
